has been playing piano for the past 2 years under the teaching of Renée Ruest. He loves to play
badminton and create Lego structures. He particularly likes to read and study mathematics. He greatly

Onkit Saha Bio:

I am passionate about learning new knowledge. I was exposed to music at age four, after-school piano
program in Calgary (AB). Combining talent with rigor of practice with Yamaha Music Foundation, by
age six, I composed my first Piano piece “Hail Day” for the 2015 Junior Original Concert. I regularly
position myself into challenge. My passion for hard-work led me to receive achievements: the New
Brunswick Pioneer Award, a Bronze medal in the 2018 Canadian Math Kangaroo Competition, 2021
Finalist at the Canada-Wide Science Fair (CWSF) for Team New Brunswick, 1st placement at the
STEAM Expo 2019 (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) in 5th Grade category,
as well as numerous other prizes at the Fredericton Music Festival including an award for the Best
Original Composition (2021), Janet Hammock Outstanding Composition Award of the NBRMTA
(2021), 1st place in Original Composition of the FMTA, and 2nd place at the CFMTA. I am fascinated
about becoming an astronaut. I am convinced that it is the balance among music, math, science &
outdoors which will give me an edge to fulfill my astronomical ambition.
